 The session is designed to provide governors with assigned safegu
 arding responsibilities with the knowledge and skills to undertake their r
 ole.&nbsp\;
 The session will explain the legal context for safeguarding 
 in schools and through discussion and activities will help delegates to de
 velop their awareness of whole school safeguarding issues and the responsi
 bilities of governing boards in relation to safeguarding.&nbsp\;
 The wor
 kshop will provide a role description for safeguarding lead governors\, an
 d tools to enable them to undertake their compliance and monitoring roles.

 The session is interactive and uses real case scenarios&nbsp\;to
  develop understanding.&nbsp\;
